Susan Segura joined Percy, Smith & Foote, LLP, a predecessor firm to Smith Segura Raphael & Leger, LLP, in 1993 as an associate. She is currently a partner specializing in antitrust litigation. Ms. Segura represents direct purchasers in numerous antitrust matters, including In re King Drug Company Of Florence, Inc. et al v. Abbott Laboratories et al (AndroGel), 19cv3565 (E.D. Pa.), In re Louisiana Wholesale Drug Co., Inc. v. Smithkline Beecham Corporation et al (Lamictal), 2:12cv995 (D. NJ) (both of which are joinder actions); and In re Niaspan Antitrust Litigation, No. 2:13-md-02460 (E.D. Pa.), a certified class action. She was an active member of the trial team for the class in In re Nexium (Esomeprazole) Antitrust Litigation, No. 12-md-2409 (D. Mass.), the first post-Actavis reverse-payment case to be tried to verdict. She was also an active member of the trial teams in the King Drug Company of Florence, Inc. et al. v. Cephalon, Inc., et al (Provigil), No. 2:06-cv-1797 (E.D. Pa.); In Re Namenda Direct Purchaser Antitrust Litigation, 1:15cv7488 (S.D.N.Y.); In re Opana ER Antitrust Litigation, 1:14-cv-10150 (N.D. Ill.); and In re Value Drug Company v. Takeda Pharmaceuticals, U.S.A., Inc. et al (Colcrys), 2:21cv3500 (E.D. Pa.).
Ms. Segura was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1993 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit and U.S. District Courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a B.S. in 1987. Louisiana State University conferred upon her a J.D. in 1993.
